GRACE, GRACE, MORE GRACE!
What's on my mind? One word: GRACE. Willing and cheerful grace; how hard is "that"? Grace is the virtue we need to forgive; to willingly forgive someone who has wronged you or someone you love. A lesson I have to continuously work on and still fail horribly! Just last week, for some unknown reason, I was NOT at peace. Every where I turned there was something wrong; loss, gossip, bullying, rudeness, car problems, health issues, issues at work, and a death. I lost my peace and fell from grace. So here I am feeling bad for snapping at family and calling some woman in traffic a "name"! (all though she didn't hear me, my daughter did!) I DO TRY; but life gets in the way:/ So, LORD, give me your grace. Forgive me LORD for being so preoccupied on my own problems when they truly are so insignificant in comparison. Grant me the virtue of grace to allow life to flow through me and not stop me from showing grace and forgiveness to those in need of that kindness. Watch over and hold me accountable.

Fifty Shades of Grey Freed
I find myself now, at the end of book three, and sad. Sad that the story of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele has come to an end. It is of course a happy ending, just sad that it is over. In this book you will enjoy their happiness, their joy, and their turmoil; it is not all wine and roses. In sharing their ever growing love for each other, you also share their misfortunes: a helicopter mishap, a fire, a kidnapping, an assault, blackmail, stalking, and a car chase! The romance between 50 and Ana is again playful and loving, respectful of each others limits and still exploring how far each is willing to go. But, more important than their sex play, is their relationship together, learning more about each other, learning a lot more about Christian's past, his childhood, and what makes him a man of 50 shades. I personally have enjoyed their playful and edgy sex. I also love the way Christian wants to care for Ana. In this book they workout their boundaries. So, I guess for now I will sit back and wait for the movie. And YES, I will go see it! I recommend this trilogy as the story goes but as I have said before it does lack literary finesse. Enjoy!

A few more nights with Mr. Grey
Yes the second book; I know it's band from libraries. Get real people. You will ban a book for it's hardcore erotic content, but have novels featuring murderers; slashing and dismembering in graphic detail? Granted, a literary genius she is not. But I am drawn into this saga of 50 and "his" Ana. I am intrigued how 50 is transformed by his love for this woman. In this book you learn much, much more about Christian; about what makes him 50 shades of messed up and how through his relationship with Ana he is finding he is worthy of love. Yes, the sexual activities are hard core by "normal" standards. But what is normal? Normal to 50 and Ana is metamorphic and wonderful to see unfold. After reading 50 Shades of Grey, I would not have recommended it to most people, but now with 50 Shades Darker I am enlightened! (pun intended) I found myself at the end of Darker, teary and happy. So yes, on to 50 Shades Freed, third book of the trilogy!

Two nights with Mr. Grey!
Here is my take on this ever so popular novel. First let me say erotica is not my genre. I do however love me some romance smathered in with a good historical fiction. This book, according to Dr.Oz, is flying off the shelves and men are reaping the benefits! Yes, women are reading it and boosting their libidos! Well Dr.Oz I am one up on you; I have been telling girls for years now to pick up a steamy book to bring back some spice into their love life. That being said; on to Mr.50 Shades. I was waiting to read my friend Ivan Rusilko's new book, "The Winemaker's Dinner" coming out in Aug., when 50 shades was sizzling, so I thought I would take one for the girl's and read it. It is intriguing, but not a book that will go down in history for it's literary reputation for sure, even the storytelling leaves you wanting more. However; it also leaves wanting MORE! More of what Mr. Grey and Ana have and a little less of what they do. Grey's world has a dark side, but it is softened up to make it slightly appealing to the "vanilla" women out there. They have a cute playful relationship, but with some hardcore activities. I honestly only planned on reading the first book in this trilogy, but the relationship between Grey and Ana leaves me wanting more of them. These books are small and could have been just one novel and not broken up into three, but I am now moving on to "50 Shades Darker", I have to see what happens to this couple!

Springtime's Spiritual Awakening!
This time of year; GOD speaks to my soul. Wake up my daughter and hear my romance! Hear my calling in the song of birds. Feel my rhythm of wind and wave. My soulful lullaby of the nights new life. Let the balmy night air kiss your skin and revive your lust for earth and life. Breath in deep the musky smells of earth and of the increasing new growth of Spring. Green spikes poking through damp musky earth. Walk on my paths; savor my gifts. Wake up, wake up! Wake up and enjoy! Live! Live in rhythm with ME...

Type II diabetes, Paula Deen, and me!
I read that Paula Deen announced that she has type II diabetes, and also read some of the comments about her keeping it a secret. Well, here is how I see it. Yes, she didn't tell the public all the while she still was pushing her comfort foods. But let's get real people! Everyone knows that high fat food, high sugar food, and high calorie foods are bad! You don't need Paula to tell you that! Her healthcare problems are nobodies business but her own! The fact that she didn't share until she had something to bring to the table was a very good idea! Not only did she need to get educated, but she needed to let it sink in what is happening to her. Let alone she probably had a contract to fulfill. That is not something that you take like you just won the lottery and want to share it with the world. This is serious stuff and takes awhile to find exceptance. I have never been a big fan of Paula Deen, but I know how this news hits you and how long it takes to except the changes you need to make. So give her a break! She owes you nothing! Everyone knew when you cook and eat that kind of food your health will pay! Go Paula! Always a business woman and making a success from her set backs. Here she goes again! If she does this right I just might become a full fledged Paula Deen fan!

Do we really see things as they really are?
We all see things from a different "point of view". Even our point of view is skewed by what we think is our POV. You may have a POV of a man, a woman, black, white, rich, poor, American, or from a third world. Everything that happens to you in your life lends to how we think and feel. If you have a bad day at work,if you have been abused, robbed, suffered great loss, these all change our POV. So now we add more into it; all our daily crap, inflation, bad weather, sickness, problems at home, car issues and the dog just ate your remote! Now, Christ tells us to love one another as you would love yourself. With all of this going on in our lives; you might ask HOW? Here is how:
1. Do Not Make Assumptions!
2. Do Not Judge
3. Choose LOVE
4. Be Kind
5. Be Patient
6. Do not blame.
And again do not make assumptions!! Do not assume you know why someone is having a difficult time making it in life and never assume that it is all about you! That you have had it so bad that no one could have it worse than you. That you work harder and pay more. Get over yourself. Chances are if your are reading this blog you are middle class, living in the USA, you may or may not have a job right now, but you have a roof over your head, have hot running water and you have eaten THIS WEEK! We have become so accustomed to our luxuries in life that we feel entitled to have them; our slice of the pie; our fair share. We are all born into this life with nothing and with nothing we will leave. I guess that kind of levels the playing field, don't ya think?
