Fifty Shades of Grey Freed

I find myself now, at the end of book three, and sad. Sad that the story of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele has come to an end. It is of course a happy ending, just sad that it is over. In this book you will enjoy their happiness, their joy, and their turmoil; it is not all wine and roses. In sharing their ever growing love for each other, you also share their misfortunes: a helicopter mishap, a fire, a kidnapping, an assault, blackmail, stalking, and a car chase! The romance between 50 and Ana is again playful and loving, respectful of each others limits and still exploring how far each is willing to go. But, more important than their sex play, is their relationship together, learning more about each other, learning a lot more about Christian's past, his childhood, and what makes him a man of 50 shades. I personally have enjoyed their playful and edgy sex. I also love the way Christian wants to care for Ana. In this book they workout their boundaries. So, I guess for now I will sit back and wait for the movie. And YES, I will go see it! I recommend this trilogy as the story goes but as I have said before it does lack literary finesse. Enjoy!

A few more nights with Mr. Grey

Yes the second book; I know it's band from libraries. Get real people. You will ban a book for it's hardcore erotic content, but have novels featuring murderers; slashing and dismembering in graphic detail? Granted, a literary genius she is not. But I am drawn into this saga of 50 and "his" Ana. I am intrigued how 50 is transformed by his love for this woman. In this book you learn much, much more about Christian; about what makes him 50 shades of messed up and how through his relationship with Ana he is finding he is worthy of love. Yes, the sexual activities are hard core by "normal" standards. But what is normal? Normal to 50 and Ana is metamorphic and wonderful to see unfold. After reading 50 Shades of Grey, I would not have recommended it to most people, but now with 50 Shades Darker I am enlightened! (pun intended) I found myself at the end of Darker, teary and happy. So yes, on to 50 Shades Freed, third book of the trilogy!    Sent from my iPad

Two nights with Mr. Grey!

Here is my take on this ever so popular novel. First let me say erotica is not my genre. I do however love me some romance smathered in with a good historical fiction. This book, according to Dr.Oz, is flying off the shelves and men are reaping the benefits! Yes, women are reading it and boosting their libidos! Well Dr.Oz I am one up on you; I have been telling girls for years now to pick up a steamy book to bring back some spice into their love life. That being said; on to Mr.50 Shades. I was waiting to read my friend Ivan Rusilko's new book, "The Winemaker's Dinner" coming out in Aug., when 50 shades was sizzling, so I thought I would take one for the girl's and read it. It is intriguing, but not a book that will go down in history for it's literary reputation for sure, even the storytelling leaves you wanting more. However; it also leaves wanting MORE! More of what Mr. Grey and Ana have and a little less of what they do. Grey's world has a dark side, but it is softened up to make it slightly appealing to the "vanilla" women out there. They have a cute playful relationship, but with some hardcore activities. I honestly only planned on reading the first book in this trilogy, but the relationship between Grey and Ana leaves me wanting more of them. These books are small and could have been just one novel and not broken up into three, but I am now moving on to "50 Shades Darker", I have to see what happens to this couple!
