Sleep, space, time, and GOD continuum?

I am unable to sleep tonight; this is unusual for me. I always fall asleep quickly. For some reason this new year finds me in a state of mystery. There is a feeling in the air. A feeling of excitement, of new things to come and old things that are left go, but yet remembered. I have a feeling of being part of a grander scheme. I read an article that my nephew posted on FB yesterday and it really made me think. It was titled; What is a year? It told of the different calendars and what makes them different. But it was the Sun that made me stop and take notice. With the winter solstice just a week behind us now, we are beginning a new dance of Earth & Moon in rhythm with the Sun. Very seldom do I think of how I am part of this grand event. No, normally I think about how I have to go to work, or go shopping, to appointments, or places with friends. I think about when I get paid and who I must pay. Just the everyday comings and goings of being alive. Rarely do I feel like I am walking on a hugh blue sphere traveling through the universe. That is where I find all of this everyday stuff so insignificant. Doesn't it make you sit up and take notice? We all have our beliefs or faith of a higher power. Some just think it is all just a big accident. I find that hard to believe. To me the fact that all of our planets are dancing around the sun, as the sun travels through space in a rhythm so predictable; all the while we are going about our daily lives like we are riding a train. This is proof, for me, that there is a force greater than all of this! To set this all in motion and still consider the minute complexity of the human eye! Whoow! And that doesn't even take in to account the vast beauty of it all! Truly a masterpiece. Big Daddy Weave! No wonder HE calls Himself "THE GREAT I AM"! I get it!

Sharing the Love in 2012!

Well, here we are on the cusp of a new year. Thoughts go back to the years of my youth and of marriage; as a wife and mother, having babies, raising teenagers, and now single woman with adult children. Life has taken some strange and wonderful pathways. I am ever so thankful for all of those wonderful things GOD has placed in my life. I look forward to this new year and the exciting things it will bring and hope to be an active part in creating all things new! Some life events take us by surprise and some turn us upside-down and take a lot of time, emotion, searching, and in the end healing. When considering life's perils, looking back from a different view point, you see how they are really blessings. They bring with them growth, wisdom, and appreciation for all things good. So we set out hoping for good health, happiness, and prosperity; knowing that all of this is self dependent. We are responsible to a certain extent to bring to ourselves, good health and prosperity, but happiness is all our own. Happiness is a choice as is love. We choose to love, we don't fall in love. We choose to be happy, it really is that simple. You must bring happiness to yourself, not depending on others to "make" us happy. Happiness comes from within as with love, joy and peace. These are all self fullfilling. This is what we share from our spirit with others. This is our purpose during our time on Earth! I heard this said earlier this year and found it to be profound and yet simple; if you don't have what you want, then want what you have. I challenge all to find their quiet time this year; to contemplate, meditate, pray, to want what they have, and here's the big one, finding forgivness! Forgivness for yourself and forgiveness for others.
